3 Things To Do At The Beginning Of Every Month
The It-Girl's Guide to setting your month up for success
The start of a new month is the perfect time to get organised and set yourself up for success. Planning out the next 4 weeks can bring much needed clarity and give clear direction to help you move forward in whatever you're trying to achieve. To help me get into the right headspace for a new month, there are 3 things that I do consistently that have allowed me to feel less overwhelmed and more in control of how the next few weeks play out - check them out below!
1. Work out your monthly expenses

So the first thing I do when my pay check comes through is work out my expenses for the month. I write down every single thing I expect to come out of my account that month from utilities to savings. That way I have a very clear picture of exactly how much I have left to spend while ensuring all my bills are covered. I also take this time to practice gratitude and fill in my abundance log. 2. Make note of appointments and social events

Trying to have a social life during the current climate is hard work and requires being a lot more strategic to maintain your relationships! I try to plan all my meetups with friends and any other appointments I'd like to make e.g. health check-ups or hair at the start of the month so I know everything I've got going on. This way, I can avoid having to reschedule meetings, showing up late or missing events altogether.
Set your objectives

Finally, I set some objectives for the month. I prefer doing this to setting 'goals' as they tend to feel more practical and achievable to me. My objectives can be anything from running an important errand to meeting up with someone I haven't seen in a while. Either way, I treat these objectives as non-negotiable, give them specific time scales and schedule them into my calendar to increase the likelihood of achieving them and having a successful month.
